I have successfully run MediaCoder 0.6.0-dev using Wine on Linux (dist=Gentoo, arch=amd64). The setup ran with no problems whatsoever. When MediaCoder starts, it starts Firefox with a page that has a start button (incredibly annoying) - it finds Firefox with no problems at that step. When I clicked on the settings or extensions buttons (which launch a page in FF), I had to tell it where to locate Firefox. The Z: drive was already mapped to /, so it was something like z:\usr\bin\firefox .
