Add a video converstion HOW TO convert AVI to 3kbit Mpeg 1 with 160kb audio --- The latest Norton Anti-virus updates have alarmed on MediaCoder - specifically the MediaCoder-0.3.9-20060607.exe downloaded file, and also on the uninstall program.
The problem Norton AV flags is the (supposed) presence of a Trojan called "Trojan.Zlob".
As of 7/4/2006, Symantec has apparently fixed this false positive from MediaCoder: no infection is now flagged. ---
I've spent several hours trying to find a conversion from a DVD VOB file which will (1) work and (2) be acceptable to Adobe Premiere Pro, without success. The author made it clear that the program should only be used by video conversion experts with command line savvy, but I'll guess a large portion of potential users just want simple instructions to convert common formats. It's hard to believe this much work has been spent on developing a product while producing no tutorial. Perhaps someone could just tell me the recommended settings for converting DVD files to the DV Video format (in AVI package) I normally capture from my camcorder and import into Premiere. Thanks!!
Could someone create a Zune device for this software? Many Zune users use this software and it is tricky to get the right settings for it.
Add video quality information
Please, can you add video quality information in summary tag! This information is very important to define the bitrate of the video.
Like with Media Info, in Bits/(Pixel*image)
Quality=Bitrate(kbps)*1000/(Framerate(fps)*resolution(high*width))
For a good quality video (with XVID encoder) I choose between 0.18 and 0.2. Anyway with 0.2 My DVD encoded with XVID are very good.
Sincerely, kinounou.
